So I have had my PharmCAS and supplemental in for a while now, and I was just wondering if anyone knew how long it usually takes to get a "your file is complete and we are processing it" email. I know it says on the website not to contact the admissions office about this, so I want to avoid that. I am just paranoid that something went wrong I guess. Anyone have a rough idea of how long it takes to calm my nerves? Thanks!

It takes a while. UNC is notoriously slow. They said the best way to know if your application was received is to send it certified mail so you'll get a confirmation that someone signed for it. I know you can't do that now but just realize it could take several weeks.

I heard they don't really even start reviewing applications until the deadline. I asked one of the admissions counselors if there was any advantage to submitting the application early, and she said there really was no advantage because they don't start reviewing apps that soon. So, they are known to be pretty slow with the process. I e-submitted my PharmCAS app and supplemental app yesterday. I just need to submit my signature pages and the check.

eowyn, did they ever email you a confirmation or anything?

I did send my supplemental application by certified mail and have received confirmation through that. I guess I am just super paranoid that something went wrong. I haven't received a "your file is complete" email yet, but I guess if they don't start looking at apps until the deadline I should just relax and be more patient. Let me know if anyone receives a confirmation email. Thanks for the info guys!
