So UNC's website says the Bio requirement is:

General biology or zoology (labs required) 8 / 12
Two lecture courses with a minimum of four semester hours each. One course (including lab) must be human anatomy or vertebrate zoology. Both courses must include labs involving vertebrate dissection.

Does anyone know how strict they are on having dissection in the class? My university only offers one class that has dissection. I'm just curious if anyone knows how lenient they are with this requirement. So anyone who goes to UNC or knows the answer, please feel free to chime in...

I'm an undergrad at UNC, so I can't confirm the dental reqs, but I do know that the one anatomy class offered doesn't involve vertebrate dissection. I can't imagine they'd be too strict about it given that they don't even offer that class to their own undergraduates.

UNC grad (undergraduate) here. The A&P course (Biol 252 @ UNC) was the basic, low-level A&P course. We didn't personally dissect anything but viewed cadavers of cats for a few sections. Maybe they mean that the courses need a lab component with actual dissected animals. I wouldn't worry too much about it if you have taken an A&P course already.
