can anyone tell me whether it's possible to obtain NC residency after starting at UNC (for years 2-4)? there's a huge gap between in-state and out-of-state tuition there and i was hoping to cut it if i apply. thanks!

I think its very possible but I'm not 100% From the best of my knowledge NC is much more lenient than a lot of states on this policy. Maybe post on the Dental forum rather than predent or check UNC's website (www.unc.edu) for the facts.

Additionally, UNC admits ~15 out of state students each year (currently 81 students per class). A majority of them receive in-state tuition starting their 2nd year.

Out of state students barely have any luck when applying to UNC. I saw a bunch of 3.7+ and 23s DAT got rejected from out of state. those 15 from out of state got to be special. Any of you guys know what's the lowest dat score from in-state (non-minority ie..caucasoid or asianoid)got accepted into UNC?
