Does UNC require its incoming students to collect teeth? If so, how many do I need to collect?

Thanks in advance!

I do not believe so, otherwise I better get cracking!🙂

I've heard that gathering teeth in dent school is a requirement in some places for some classes. Does this mean there are generally plenty floating around from extractions, or do people have to, like, fight over them, like pieces of candy fallen from a pi?ata? The concept of going around hoarding extracted teeth in order to get a passing grade in a course seems a little weird to me... please tell me it's a misconception! 😱

Nope. I'm in spring of my second year and have yet to ask anyone for their teeth, much less collect some... 😉

Although at UNC they are not needed, at schools where they are, your best option is to visit a local oral surgeon and ask for their extractions. Most would be happy to provide them once you explained what they were for.
