Happy 4th of July! 🙂 I am being lame and trying to do the UNC supplemental and I noticed that when reviewing the application before I submit, I can't include indents or line spaces. Is there anyway to put these in or make it less confusing? Everything looks like a huge blob, especially in places where in says "List...". Thanks!

Hey! UNC supp is a lot of work, isn't it?
About 6 pages including 14 short essays? 🙂
I know exactly what you are talking about. I called UNC yesterday and asked Terry about it. She said the reviewing page you see is not the version that they will see. She suggested that I type on the MS Word first and then just copy and paste it to the box, and don't worry too much about how it looks on the reviewing page! I know it seems really jumbled up on that page. It took me a lot of time for me to make the look on that page better and I had to change it back to the mess yesterday...

Are you a NC resident? Carolina? State? Duke?
Good luck on your Supp!!

haha thanks a ton! I'm actually a Florida resident, but I REALLY want to go to UNC! It was my first choice for undergrad. but I got a big, fat rejection letter that I cried weeks over (I think it was the whole being a FL resident thing combined with applying there the very last day possible). Now I'm keeping hope alive that they won't reject me a 2nd time (though this is dental and a whole different ball game). Good luck on your supplemental application as well and thanks again!

F-in affirmative to that... everytime I read over my reponses, I find something else that needs to be tweaked... and then its like a domino effect, lol.

I've heard that it's possible for out-of-staters to get in-state tuition at UNC after their 2nd year at UNC. Do either of you (or anyone for that matter) know how difficult it is for out of staters to 1) get residency status in NC, and 2) subsequently get in-state tuition at UNC dental? I read over the formal policies and procedures listed on the UNC Bursar's Office website, but I'm curious as to just exactly how likely it would be for out-of-staters to get in-state tuition?

Just thought I'd ask on SDN before I actually contact UNC admissions about this...

I heard about this too, but I'm not exactly sure. I did a google search and I came to this page: http://registrar.unc.edu/residency/index.php

If you find out anything else, please share 🙂 I hope I'm not jinxing myself by looking up residency info before I get an interview, acceptance, etc. haha 😉
