UNC tuition

Any UNC students out there who know how difficult it is for an out-of-stater to become eligible for in-state tuition at UNC after your first year? Several of the southern schools make it pretty easy to get in-state after the first year, especially if you are planning on practicing in that state, so I'm wondering if UNC is the same way. Thanks for your help.

You can get in-state tuition after a year. Or you could when I did it a year ago.

I thought you had to do more than go to school in the state.....like pay taxes, get a drivers license, job(no parental support), and NOT be in school. Basically, you would need to establish yourself apart from going to school.

I'm sure all states have had people try to get a quick residency, thus, receiving lower tuition. If they let them do it after 1 year, the school would lose A LOT of money.
