hello, does anybody know how many people are usually on the waitlist for UNC? If so, what are the chances of people being accepted off of it......and when do they find out? I would think after deposits....but maybe im wrong😕

My best guess would probably be april when the people with multiple deposits get sorted out that way they can move alot of people off the list at once. That is just my 2 cents. best of luck!

Maybe some current UNC students will comment, but from what I've known in the past, and this is strictly hear say, but the waitlist is made up of 5-10 folks. Two years ago, five came off the waitlist and were accepted. I believe the waitlist is made right after the final offers are extended in late Jan. However, I'm not sure when those on the waitlist are notified they're waitlisted. If you haven't received a rejection letter yet, there is a good chance you made the waitlist, but I don't want to further speculate. I would call admissions and ask. Best of luck!
