Undergrad classes during interview season...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I thought med school interviews >>>> college classes, since getting into medical school at this stage is really important and they already know your academic potential. I would try to stay focused on classwork, but spend more time preparing for interviews (which are the most important).

I totally understand. I will be missing a good bit of class for interviews. Luckily at this point my GPA is sorta hard to mess up. C's get degrees. Its all good.

I don't know how you can just turn it off.
The overachiever in me has to aim for A even though I know it probably won't matter...

Is anyone else having trouble caring about their classes at all?

*raises hand* :hello:
Luckily, I was able to plan my schedule so that 1) I'm only taking 12 hours and 2) Most of them are easy/don't require much work outside of class. There's only 1 course that I may have problems with (reading books/writing essays required).

Haha, I was just thinking this. This morning I realized that I really don't care about any of my classes. =/

My initial goal this semester was to get a 3.7 so I could graduate Magna Cum Laude.

However, I am starting to not care, but it isn't like I can turn school mode off. I realized that with 4 interview invites so far, I have a decent chance of getting into a medical school. I have to force myself to study more than to get an 80%.

If I get an acceptance in October... I may not do very well this semester. My motivation will go right out the window.

My study habits have gone down the drain. It's hard to turn down bar-hopping with your friends when you know your classes don't really matter.
