So I am looking to apply next year to medical school. I am currently in pharmacy school and realized what I truly want to do is practice medicine. My question is, what grades are medical schools going to look at the most, my grades from pharmacy school or my science courses from undergrad that fulfill all the pre-reqs for med school?

I suspect that they will be more interested in your undergraduate scores as this will allow them to compare apples to apples. They will certainly be interested in your pharm grades too though so make sure you don't slack off now that you have decided to switch.

yeah, unfortunately this has been a decision that i have made over the past couple months. My first two years of pharmacy school have been 3.0 gpa. Now that I have my mind made up to apply to medical school, I will work hard in my third year to get better grades again. In undergrad, I had a 3.6 with almost straight A's in all my science courses. I didn't try as hard in pharmacy school because I didn't see the point. Now it has bit me in the butt, since I want to apply to med school. Even when all my quality points/hrs are combined right now, it still comes out to a 3.48 with pharm and undergrad combined.

They will look at both. I'm in the same boat actually and the premed adviser at my school told me a positive trend from undergrad to grad carries a lot of weight.

so basically my grade dip fro a 3.6 in undergrad to a 3.0 in pharmacy will be pretty bad for me?
