Before any misconceptions come up, let me clarify -- I plan to attend Undergraduate college for ONE year, and to apply in that same year for admittance to a college of Pharmacy.
The school I currently attend is registered with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock system for receiving concurrent credits for certain courses -- not a big deal, just a standard 3-to-4 hour per semester thing.
The fun comes in here: in my junior year, I achieved 6 hours of American studies, 8 hours of Introductory/Evolutionary Biology, and 8 hours of General Chemistry: 22 hours.
This year, I'm attempting 4 hours of Microbiology, 4 hours of Zoology, 6 hours of Rhetoric/English Comp., 3 hours of elementary French, and 6 hours of Comp-Sci related courses (doesn't really help me): 23 hours more.
...in addition to the AP Calculus AB exam (4), and the AP Statistics, AP Physics C, and AP Psychology exams I'm going to be taking this upcoming spring.
With that sufficient amount of hours-spamming, I've fulfilled a good 3/4 of the requirements of most Pharmacy colleges -- however, there's a few things I've neglected entirely:
1. I will be 19 come Fall 2010 (when I plan to enroll in a Pharmacy college)
2. I have yet to study for the PCAT (hopefully, my ACT score of 31 is an indicator for my expected performance)
3. The university I currently have these credits/enrollments with is different from the one I am considering going to. While both schools are in-state, the requirements to UAMS differ between these schools.
Is there anyone that has been in the same boat as I am in? Will my age cause a hindrance to my probability for acceptance?
How should I study for and anticipate the PCAT?
Should I just attend the campus that I have the credits with to avoid confusion over credits?
Any quasi-positive feedback is appreciated.
