Do you have to start paying on them as soon as you graduate?
Or do you not have to pay untill you finish medical school?
 
Depends on how much time exists between undergrad and med/grad school. If you are going right on to med school with no lag year in between, they can be deferred until you finish med school. However, if there will be more than 6 months between completion of undergrad and med school, and you are not enrolled at least half-time in another program, you will have to begin making payments after the grace period (6 months) expires. Once you begin school again, these can go back into deferment.
 
Ok, I see. So basically, either way, you don't have to pay on them in medical school , which makes sense, because a lot of people would have to take out more loans to pay the undergrad loans 😱
