doesn't a biochem major look better than just bio? i'm trying to decide if it's worth it to keep going thru biochem if i know i want to go to dental school.. it's more challenging than bio - will that translatte over when application reviews come up?

thanks.

I heard that they don't care AT ALL. Math major, Music major, Sex Education major...or whatever works.

No. They do not care what your major is. Be a fine arts major, it doesn't matter. As long as you have the prerequisites for application. That's why those items are the prerequisites...they're the classes that they care about.

that's what i was hoping... i have to take upper year calc classes and physica chem for biochem..... i'd rather not.

thanks!

There you go - save yourself the hassle, postpone some gray hairs, and go with biology. And yes, dental schools really don't care what you major in. 😉
