Hey,
I am about to embark on my university journey. my first year at University Of Toronto in Life Sciences. Im extremely scared, nervous, lost in many aspects of university life---there are so many tips, tricks, resources, healthy habbits, and experiences that many senior year students know which they wished they knew during freshman year ( I want that info :xf:). I am extremely excited and motivated to pursue dentistry but I have alot of questions that linger!

1) What prerequisite courses do dental schools look for? any english, physics, calculus, chemistry, biology (some are obvious others im not so sure).

2) What year should I begin studying for my DAT (3rd, 4rth).

3) Any tips, tricks, resources you guys have that will help me during this science saturated undergrad or anything for predents!?

This site is really great and I plan on being here for a long time.

First off welcome to SDN!

1) Pre reqs differ from school to school but the basics are: 1 year bio, chem, Organic chem, physics, and 1 semester biochem

2) I haven't taken the DAT yet, from what I understand doing well in your classes is the best way to set a baseline for preparing for it. Some people start studying 3 months ahead while others 3 weeks...when you get to that stage just do what is best for you

3) study

there is a search function on this website...use it. It will answer most of your questions

best of luck
