  1. Pre-Dental
Im going to orientation at UC Davis in a month and i have to decide how i want to plan out my schedule
I've seen some of the requirements so i assume my first quarter should be

Intro Bio (4)
Gen Chem (5)
Intro Lit. (4)
Core Class?
or should i also take Intro. Psych (4)

Can you guys also tell me majors that will allow me to complete my pre dental requirements and graduate in 4 years that aren't science related like bio or chem

Thanks in advance

schedule looks good since youre an incoming freshman. I would look into majoring in Math because usually they have a lot of room for electives which will fit in your dental school prereqs without having to spend extra time fulfilling major requirements. Or if you like music, english, look into the Bachelor of Art degree options for those because they should have some big elective hrs you would need to fill, like the math. If you dont like any of those, I would always go with a science....biology, microbiology, zoology, botany, nutrition, chemistry, you name it whatever interests you. I am a microbiology major and I love it. I grew up in music and never wanted to go professional in it b/c it wasnt practical and it wouldnt help me with dental school. Im very practical, because time and money are valuable to me. But if those are no problem for you, then by all means, get a completely different major that you will like and spend more time trying to get your sciences in for d-school. By the way, do not just rely on those prereqs to help you with d-school, you need to take lots of bio courses if you can do it, not just an intro to bio course...go beyond that w/ 3-4 more bio courses. Been there done that so pm me if you have additional questions =)

i would suggest taking as many bio courses as you can....

biology and chemistry are the bread and butter of your first year classes.

They are more difficult, but they will prepare you better. It will be harder to prepare for the DAT if you don't have as many bio courses.

So should i take Intro Psych(4) along with
Intro Bio (4)
Gen Chem (5)
Intro Lit. (4)

Take Intro to Psych instead of a core class. You don't want to have a really hard schedule your first semester.
