Sooo, I wanted to know what the best pre-psychology undergrad schools are and was wondering if anyone would be able to help me on that.

thanks. =]

Depends on what you're looking for. The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (where I go) has the largest program in the nation and a HUGE number of research opportunities. If you want the big school, big money approach, I'd highly recommend Michigan. However, some people like small schools better. I won't lie...the lectures here are huge. You can get a Bachelor's in psych here without ever getting to know a professor well. But if you're proactive, the opportunities here are endless.

Schools don't vary a heck of a lot in terms of undergrad experience, in my experience. As ZP mentioned, schools that have a big, popular graduate program might be places to look at, but bear in mind that your interests may develop along lines that vary from what anyone at a school like that is doing. If I was going to make any suggestion at all, it would be to pick a program with profs who have a wider range of interests, so you'll be more likely to find someone you click with.

Wherever you go, you're the one who's going to shape your UG experience. Going to U Michigan (or Yale, or Stanford, or whatever) won't do much for you if you don't go out of your way to get the kind of experiences you need to get into grad school. In contrast, building a strong application through applied research work will give you a great chance at getting into a solid grad program, wherever you went to undergrad.

Good luck! 🙂
