Hey SDNers,
I'm currently sitting on 2 WL's, 1 post-interview R, and waiting on 1 more school for a decision. I'm thinking my red flag is a downward GPA trend in junior and senior year, does anyone have advice for how to improve on this for a re-app cycle? I've considered an SMP at my state school but a friend said it might not be helpful since my science courses were B's or higher. Any input would be appreciated!

Other Info:
cGPA 3.61, sGPA 3.69
MCAT 514
500+ hrs research w/ middle author publication
100 hrs non-clinical volunteering for early child literacy group and HS mentorship
500+ hrs clinical volunteering
40 hrs shadowing
Working PT as a medical assistant and starting a behavior therapist position soon (past experience working as PT aide)
Applied to all state schools, mix of low and mid tier schools, 3 top tier/low yield (all complete mid August) and 2 DO schools (in progress)

What is your gpa by year?
3.75, 3.82, 3.53, and 3.35. Upward trend in BCPM/sGPA but drastic downward trend in AO. I took a lot of humanities courses for a double major but did poorly near the end because I over-estimated how much I could handle...

Have DO schools on your list.

IF you get shut out, an SMP/post-bac might be in order.
