Do you guys think it matters what school one went to for undergrad? I went to a state school in Southern California, and am worried that I won't get into my top choice bc I'll be competing with students who went to amazing universities like UCLA

There is NOTHING wrong with going to a state school! Just kick ass in undergrad and get lots of extra-curricular experience to help with your application.

Agreed! I went to a VERY inexpensive, small school and got into my top choice program with no problem. I got experience and good grades. I know that isn't the case for everyone who worked hard in undergrad, but I would not be concerned about attending a prestigious university for undergrad. 🙂

It doesn't matter. I didn't go to a prestigious or well known university, and I was accepted into all of the programs I applied to. Just have good grades, good LORs, and a standout personal statement.

LOL I went to undergrad in the boonies and I just started my second semester in OT school. It really doesn't matter as long as you get your pre-reqs done
