Do you guy think doing a undergraduate research presentation is necessary for med school.
 
Necessary? Definitely not. Helpful? Certainly.
 
If you have the time definitely do it. I benefitted tremendously from my UG research.
 
Probably if you apply to schools that favor in research. I did a few in undergrad and I’m so glad that I did
