Do dental schools care about where you graduated from? If you graduated from a top ten school vs. a small college that not many people know of...I'm wondering this because the major I'm in in my school is known to be really hard compared to others

If you had a 3.6 and 21 DAT from University of Virginia and someone else had a 3.6 and 21 DAT from Briar Creek University Tech (made up name, just think no name school), then you would be more competitive.

What Roy said; however, school name most likely won't compensate for a massive gap in gpa. So if someone had a 3.0 from UVA and a 3.6 from Briar Creek, the Briar Creek applicant would probably be more favored (GPA wise at the very least)

School choice almost never matters. Go to a school with massive grade inflation and you should be set.

No one cares how hard your major, class, or courseload is. DAT shows you if your major was hard or not. I.e if you aced the heck out of MIT courses but somehow got an 18 DAT, people will probably assume you took easy classes regardless of your alma mater.

Go to a traditional state 4 year university and you will be fine. Cheaper than private schools anyway.

in my opinion, school matters but major not so much. at one of my interviews the dean mentioned they look at undergrad school when evaluating your grades.
I know my undergrad school helped me get into dental school for sure though- two schools I was accepted at accept many students from my school.

choose a major that will get you the highest GPA and that you like
