I worked in research full time for 3 years post-grad and for some reason only reported 1500 total hours instead of like 6000. This is probably because the hours for the activity below are 1500. Is it worth it to contact schools about this? I’ve already submitted all my secondaries. Thank you!

Even if you are a candidate for the most-selective, top research-oriented schools, I don't see that correcting this mistake makes a difference in the success of your application. Some schools are open to frequent updates no matter when you want to send them; you could shoot off a quick correction to those now. But otherwise, you might wait until it's time for a fall update letter and include the information along with activity updates that might might have an impact on your candidacy.
