So I feel like Pathoma may be misdirecting/oversimplifying my understanding of the coag cascade. So I want some input from people learning coag cascade outside pathoma. Is the extrinsic coagulation pathway activated first in vivo? Then, Factor II/thrombin activates 5,8,11? Then Factor 11 activates 9, etc? And Factor 12 is merely used for PTT testing as a means of activating the intrinsic pathway without using the extrinsic pathway? This seems to make the most sense to me, but I'm not 100% sure.
