UNECOM post-interview?

For those of you that interviewed recently, did they tell you when you'd find out? I was there 10/10, and they said a month, but I didn't know if that had been revised.

They menitoned to us that there would probably be an adcom meeting at the end of this month, which of course is today, (or around that) and they would be looking at three weeks of candidates, which is the first batch of interviewed applicants for UNECOM. They notify via snail mail. Other than that, I dont know...
 
That's actually really helpful, b/c we didn't get that much detail. First day and all, not everything had taken shape with the process. They did say they might go light on the interviews the 3rd week of october, so they may wait until Friday, if they are going to really review 3 weeks of applicants, but it's good to know that we'll probalby hear next week.

All they said on our day was we'd probably hear mid-November - by snail mail, because they just didn't think emailing that kind of decision was the right way to do things. I'm okay with that. Let's see what happens, though! 😀
 
mid-november? That's terrible! Really? Argh, it's my #1 choice, so I'm sooooo impatient.

Well - I am thinking that with the info from slindswim, and what we heard on Day 2 - if they meet/decide the first week of November, and mail stuff out - that is probably the max time it would take for mail to get to people. So maybe a little earlier... What's another week or so??!! Hang in there.
 
In general, a week is fine. But, I'm leaving next week to interview at another school. If I got in before that, I wouldn't go. Would save much time and money.

UNE is my first choice. I am so excited. I just interviewed there this weekend. Good Luck to everyone.🙂
 
im from new york and i interviewed 10/10 i believe. i think i interviewed with you rgerwin cuz i remember you saying something about it after the interview.. i know it takes some places longer than others. don't worry!! yours will come!
 
Lol. Of course. So, how were your other interviews? Do you think you'll accept UNE? I can't believe I'm here at work with my mail key, while my better half is at home with the locked mail box.
 
i got waitlisted at NSU and UMDNJ-SOM and accepted to COMP and UNECOM. im not sure what i'll do.. still wiating to see where my bf gets accepted to.
 
just got accepted to UNE today! not my first choice, but they are so fast. I interviewed on sat (10/28)

Yes, I was really scared when I opened my box and saw the envelope. But, all was well. So, question. I LOVED UNE and really want to go there. Do I cancel my 11/13 interview at Touro-MI? I'm in MA, so it's a haul, it's expensive, I have to take off from work. My gut is to not even bother. What do you think?

Just opened my acceptance letter!! Gonna be a tough choice between UNE and DMU.

Just FYI for those waiting: Letter was post-marked 10/30 and I received it today in Georgia.

Congrats! I agree - tough choice! You're lucky to have one - look at the wall of shame - there are many people who are still collecting rejection letters and hoping for just one acceptance, y'know??
Anyway - no word for me, so.... maybe not such a great sign from UNE.... 🙁
Oh well - there's still time (and I still have DMU!)....

As for me - well - I don't know. One of my interviewers didn't seem to be too thrilled with me...but, we'll see.

Hey...I just got accepted too!! (p.s. it's Jenn from the chicago and new england interviews). Keep me updated on what you both decide! I am having such a hard time deciding between UNE and KCUMB, who knows!!! CONGRATS and keep in touch!

hey i just got accepted into UNECOM too!!! (p.s. it's jenn from UNECOM and CCOM interviews). it's going to be a tough choice between KCUMB and UNECOM for me...i don't know. Congrats and keep me updated on what you guys decide to do!

Jenn were you the one at UNECOM on 10/24 with the biochem exam the next day?? I think that girl went to PSU and also liked KCUMB 😉
 
I just noticed in my acceptance letter that it says that we need to send in the $500 Admissions Deposit before Dec. 15th. It then goes on to say that incoming students are required to submit the $1000 First Tuition Installment within 60 days of sending in that Admissions Deposit.

Does this mean that the $500 seat deposit isn't credited towards tuition as other schools do? If so, then that sucks.
 
it is credited, but what I think that means is the $500 is non-refundable, where if you were to withdraw before classes being, the $1000 is.

Hey Jenn,

Good to see you've finally joined our little cult 😀

Anyway, looks like it's going to be another two or so weeks before I decide between UNE and DMU; the scholarship committee at DMU only reviewed files of those accepted in September anf the first week of October, so I'll be in next weeks batch to be reviewed. But hey, that turkey is gonna taste even better knowing where Casey and I will be next August.

haha, yea that was me! congrats on the acceptance and good luck deciding...this is NOT easy!! keep me updated on how your feeling becuase i'm so confused right now!
 
Ortho, don't give up hope. last year there were folks that interviewed with me but didn't find out anything for 8 weeks or more. Depends on whether your interviewer was available for the committee meeting. If they're not there to discuss you, you get 'tabled' until next meeting. Call the admissions office if you have any questions. It's also quite possible your letter got sent to southern Botswana or Australia or the mailroom floor of our friendly USPS.

But until you hear a definite NO, there's ALWAYS hope. 🙂
