Can anyone tell me about this program?
I heard it's a great program with a university hospital and TWO VAs! There are alot of surgical volume at this program >150 because of the two VAs. I am not exactly sure about the clinical aspects of KU. I also know that they are very strong in Retina. The "Mainster lens" currently used in retina surgery actually has been invented by Dr. Mainster--a faculty at KU! I think they are currently looking for a chair since the previous chair stepped-down couple months ago (but still on the faculty). Hope this helps.
