Hi,
I want to start out at a community college and get a degree then transfer to univ. How closely will univ look at my HIGH SCHOOL transcript.

Say I have like like 3 c's and a couple B's. I only did bad at my last semester. The rest is good.

I doubt universities would look at your high school transcript.

By the way, your high school grades sound fine.

Maintain a 4.0 or ~3.8 at your cc. High school grades won't matter if you do that.

Univ. will not look at your high school transcript if you are from a CC. They will analyze your CC transcript to see if you can handle the rigors of the curriculum they have. Based on your HS grades, i would say put alot of time learning how to take tests and how to digest ALOT of material. B's and C's in high school won't cut it for college if you are taking any pre-health route.

Depends why he/she got those B's/C's. I barely graduated high school and am graduating in the top quarter of my med school class. :naughty:

The univ won't give a potato about your high school transcripts when you transfer, they will only look at your transcript from the institution you are transferring from. 👍

Also, please don't beat yourself up over a few C's and a couple of B's on your HS transcript. I got a C and I believe 2 B's in HS and I lived to tell the tale. 😉 Learn from your mistakes, move on, use what you learned to rock on in future classes. 😎

Generally when they examine a transcript they look at it for the purpose of looking for growth and maturation.
Generally if you've completed 2 years then they won't even look at it.

If you're transferring from a community college to university, you don't have to worry about your university looking at your high school GPA. Just make sure you take on a job, volunteer, or do outside certification courses to round out your application. If your application is barren except for your community college GPA, they may put more emphasis on your high school career.

Don't worry too much, I know some kids who had low 2.0s in high school but after two years at community college, they went to respectable schools. One kid in my area apparently had a 2.0 in high school and is now currently in Duke Medical School.

I had a few Cs in high school, its' fine and tons of Bs. I think I graduated with a 3.4gpa with 7 APs (I got Bs/Cs in all of them lol) and a few honors classes. You should be fine.
