Wondering if others have heard from Minnesota yet?
I interviewed early Novemeber and nothing since. Also, how was Boston supposed to be like? we just wait ? i think i remember they said they were really slow.

I'm also also waiting on Albert Einstein and NYMC. I interveiwed there a month ago. I've been put on waitlist and on hold for two schools, so im really eager to get my first acceptance.

U of MN people applying for 2007 (applying, accepted, waiting, dreaming, etc) should follow this thread: http://www.studentdoctor.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51993&highlight=Minnesota

Here's the U of MN thread from last year: http://www.studentdoctor.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9973&highlight=Minnesota

Ok, enough of the plugging. I interviewed in mid-October, and found out in mid-November.

The process for MN works like this. You interview, and your interviewer has 48 hours to write up a report about you. It seems they always take longer than 48 hours. Then it goes out to the two reviewers, who give you a thumbs up or thumbs down. Two thumbs up and it goes to committee for a rubber stamp accept. Two thumbs down and it goes to committee for a rubber stamp reject. If there's a disagreement, the committee deliberates, and accepts, rejects, holds, or waitlists. The committee meets on Wednesdays (every Wednesday now) in the same room where you had the large group meetings on interview day. If you get accepted the SOP is for the dean of admissions, Dr. Marylin Becker to call you on Thursday, often well into the evening.

thnx for the reply,

I think I'll just give them a call Monday and see what's going on. I received an e-mail almost a month ago when Dr. Becker asked me whether I am aware that I need to finish my biochemistry requirement by the end of the year. For some reason she was unaware that I have taken three biochem classes already (I'm a biochem major). she thanked for my quick reply, and that was it.

I forgot to reply her again for her thank you, but thats because I hadn't checked my e-mail for three days when i was in new york.

Hope they don't have a grudge.
