Anyone here applied to the Univ of Toronto?

does anyone know how many people they interview and accept?

Around 2000-3000 people apply (depending on the year) and I believe they interview approximately 15-20% of the applicants. You HAVE to have above a 3.60 GPA and a 9 in every section on the MCAT as well as an N on the written section (This was previous year......... double check for this year). if you don't you're automatically rejected.

With U of T its numbers that are the most important.... they do read your essay, but if your LOR are good then you'll be granted an interview.........

People have told me that once you get an interview you have a great shot of getting in.........

Class size is approximately 175-200 around there anyhow.....

Remember prefference is given to ontario residents but they do accept foreign students/other province students as well (more so than other schools in Ontario).

Hi there,

UofT has a class size of 198 students. They interview about 450 candidates every year. You can have one section below a 9 on the MCAT, and even with all the cutoffs met, you are not gauranteed an intervew. The essay plays a large part in that as well.

Once June 1st comes around, they usually send about 220 acceptances out, knowing that about 20 will reject. Their waitlist does not move that much.

They have started to mail them out. They have three interview weekends, the first one coming up on Feb. 20th. I am pretty sure that all the invites for that weekend have gone out. They keep sending invites into mid-march, as the last weekend, if i remember correctly is in early April. The weekends are in no way ranked, meaning that if you interview on the first weekend, it does not mean that u were ranked higher than those who are interviewing on the last weekend.
