Any thoughts on Univ. of Washington GS program ?
Been hearing lots from faculty and residents...
Apparently in top 10 for GS...
Couple of rumors about malignancy...

Any inputs?

The cat is kind of out of the bag now, isn't it?

Pellegrini seems like a great guy and makes the program sound pretty resident-friendly, but I can't for the life of me figure out why you are asking these questions now. Are you only an MS3 and looking for away rotations, or did you rank and match to a program about which you have no knowledge. I certainly hope it is the former.

I wonder if WS's faculty friend at UW trolls these posts

Quick Disclaimer: My experience is limited, I only rotated at UW as a 4th year SUB-I. Was on one of the Univ. Services and took call at Harborview on Friday nights. End of the day...#3 on my rank list.

Univ. of Washington is a great program. If you're interested in this program I would recommend spending a month there. It was a great experience for me. Majority of senior residents were strong. Great rotation as a 4th year student. I was treated like an intern by the entire team. Scrubbed cases with attendings without residents (breast cases and vein strippings).

Logistics at that time: took call, group interview (all Sub-I's that month) with Dr. Pelligrinni, at the Univ you were assigned to give a presentation at the weekly conference during your time there. Harborview is an experience.
