We had our first calculus lecture and recitation today. It's odd. It's nothing like the calculus class I took in high school. Instead of being shown how to do a problem, and then solving a slew of them I'm just giving some abstract theory and set off in the wild.
I think it's great that it's so independent of a process, but it is really hard reading a terse and consise math textbook. Anyone have any study strategies for calculus?
I think I'm weak on some of the precalculus topics as well. I could use a good refresher of exponential and logarithmic functions as well as the trigonometric identities, derivatives, ...
Thanks once again guys and girls.
