The University of Cincinnati recently received notification from the
American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) that you have applied
to our College of Medicine. We are delighted that you have selected our
medical school and look forward to receiving your application. We invite
you to gather more information about the College of Medicine by visiting our
    website at www.med.uc.edu <http://www.med.uc.edu>

The admissions office has received numerous telephone calls and letters
inquiring about our admissions process for this year. Please be assured
that the College of Medicine is very much interested in all applicants and
is aware of the difficulties experienced with the new electronic application
system. We remain committed to all applicants and will carefully review
each application as we have done in the past. To further support all of our
applicants, the College of Medicine has made the decision to adapt our
admissions process to accommodate the delays many of you have experienced
this year. This means we have lengthened our timeline for the initial
review, interview and the final decision-making process.

At this point, we encourage you to continue to have patience with the new
AMCAS system. We have your email address and will communicate with you as
quickly as possible should there be any change in our admissions process.
In addition, we also encourage you to stay tuned to our website listed above
    for any important updates.

Finally, let me congratulate you on the selection of the University of
Cincinnati College of Medicine, and we look forward to getting to know you
    during the next several months.

    chilipina,
I submitted on 13th July, but havent been processed yet. I guess they just forwarded my e-mail address to UC. Are you in Ohio? (sounds like a dumb question, but i heard they also have kentucky applicants :) )

    elsupremo,
i'm actually not an ohio resident. don't ask why i even put down U.Cinci and MCO.

i submitted 6/29 and was processed 7/26. i guess they are sending those e-mails to ohio residents first.

where did the kentucky idea come from? -j

People from many states apply to UC (and to every state school). It's true that most ACCEPTED applicants are Ohio residents, but I'm pretty sure that if you are from out of state and are offered an interview, you have the same chance of acceptance as the Ohio interviewees.
