Hello!

I would appreciate some help in making a decision. I am an international student from Canada.

Colorado

Pros:
- half-tuition scholarship
- higher rank
- (not sure if this is a pro- longitudinal clerkships and start clinical earlier)

Cons:
- farther away from family, would need to fly
- new curriculum, cannot predict the success of it

Illinois

Pros:
- closer to home
- larger city, more hospitals so possibly more opportunities( heard that it is a large medical hub)

Cons:
- cost
- lower rank
- not sure if large class size would make it harder to stand out

If anyone has any insights into any other pros or cons that would be much appreciated! Thanks

UIC is extraordinarily expensive, as is Colorado. With the half-tuition help at Colorado and higher rank, I'd go there. Colorado is beautiful too, if you can get away from the campus for a day or even a few hours.
