Hey fellow SDNers,

I have a question primarily for current pharmacy students. I felt that I learned a lot about UH while at my interview, but didn't leave UT with a good understanding of what the program would really be like. I realize that this thread could get controversial if any school bashing starts, but if you go to one of these schools, please respond or send me a private message telling me what you love/hate about your school.

Some questions I would like addressed (if possible):
-Class structure/schedule throughout the 4 years
-Accessibility of professors - in and outside of class
-I'm curious about why US News and World Report ranks UT so highly, yet Houston has a higher NAPLEX rate...I know US NWR considers a lot of factors, but to me the passing rate is really important
-Potential placements during rotation - how much of a say do the students get in the process? How many have to leave the city they are currently living in?
-Factors outside of pharmacy school...cost of living?

I'd really like to hear from people that chose UH over UT. I always assumed UT would be my top choice, but I was so impressed with the interview day at UH.

I hope this thread ends up helping other students making pharmacy decisions right now!

Because nobody ever responded to my original message...

I am pleading for my fellow SDNers to help me out. I know I should be happy to have this "problem". I was pretty set on going to UH, but found out I also got in to UT today. I started the process set on only attending UT, then fell in love with UH. Now that UT is an option, I just have a hard time closing the door on a place I have wanted to go to school to for years.

Anybody else out there get accepted to both schools? Please PM and tell me why you made your choice and how it has turned out. I know that nobody can make the decision for me, and each of you will have experiences different from mine. Just feeling a little lost, any advice helps. 😳

I know many years have passed but.....First post I see!!! I am currently debating this!!!! I have already gotten accepted to UH and I am waiting on a response from UT. In the case I would get accepted, I do not know what I would do. Which school did you end up choosing? How are you liking it?
I would love to hear back form your experince.
