Hi everyone!
I'm rather new to SDN, and I'm still trying to find posts on this topic. UIC stated that they are no longer accepting out of state applicants and I have always wanted to go there!🙁 (if I even got accepted...) But I heard news that they might re-open it! I was hoping someone that had more info on this could let me know! Thanks in advance!

They didn't this past year. I heard it from the admissions office when I applied two cycles ago. Two cycles ago they abruptly cut down from 6 out of state to 2 out of state. They also pretty much ignore most OOS applicants unless they have "a connection to Chicago". So even if they open it back up to out of state students you probably won't get an interview if you just like the idea of living in Chicago.

If I remember correctly, it even blatantly says in the 2014 ADEA guide that UIC is no longer accepting OOS applicants. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Their website specifically states they will only accept applicants from instate unless it is for the DMD/PhD program.
