Alright ya'll. I made a pros and cons list for the schools. I'm really 50/50 right now as I'm a KY resident, but have been UC for my undergrad. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

University of Kentucky
  • Pros
    • It'd be a new city for me to experience
    • The students seemed extremely friendly/welcoming and said that students want to help each other succeed
    • Brand new simulation center
  • Cons
    • Lower ranked than UC
    • I'm not too sure about how much research they do out of UK

University of Cincinnati
  • Pros
    • I currently attend here for undergrad and am over in the medical school/Cincy Children's quite a bit
    • It's a higher ranked program than UK
    • I'm familiar with the city and have family 30 minutes away
  • Cons
    • Staying another four years in the same place
    • I'm not a super competitive person when it comes to academics (I want everyone to do well) and I'm not sure what the "vibe" of the med students at UC is

IMO just being able to say you went to U Cincy may raise some eyebrows at residency interviews just because it’s known to attract pretty competitive applicants. Additionally, I think I’d go where I’d get the best education.
