Hey guys. I just checked my email and I have an interview scheduled for Louisville. Can those of you who have already interviewed there please reply here or pm me with your interview experiences and the types of questions asked. I was not expecting my interview to come up so early and I'm sort of nervous about it. Thank you. 😳

u'll be fine. stop stressin so much!

I had mine in September, and it was a piece of cake. The two interviewers were very friendly and didn't ask any difficult questions. Just the usual, like "Why do you want to practice medicine," etc. It was very informal and relaxed. The worst part was having to wait just outside that big glass wall of the admissions office for the interviews, feeling like you're on display. Also remember, the interviewers can't see most of your record, so they have to keep the questions general. So relax. Just get yourself ready for the ordinary questions they all ask, take a few seconds to come up with a thoughtful answer before you give it, and you'll be fine.

Hey Denn, sorry for getting back to you so late. I've been out of town. My interviews went very well I think. No tough questions, just the very typical tell me about yourself and who influenced you the most type. Besides those two questions the rest was very much a conversation. I have a very different background so I spent a lot of time talking about that because my interviewers seemed interested in it and also my background is a major reason for me wanting to pursue medicine so it fit into the conversations. Before we went to our interviews Ms. Osburne told us that we look good on paper and that is why we got to the interview stage. Now they want to see how people-oriented and intelligent you are. If you haven't had your interview yet, don't sweat it. Just be yourself, seriously. For example, If you don't want to move to a rural area to practice, don't say you do to make them want you more. They'll probably be able to cut through the bs anyway. I think my decision may already be in my mailbox but I can't check it till my roomie who has the key comes back. So wish me luck and I wish you the best of luck also. 🙂
