Position Available University of Miami Dermatology Basic Science Research Fellowship Volunteer

Dr. Ajdic at the Department of Dermatology seeks a medical student or MD research volunteer for 12 months beginning in July/August 2015. The selected candidate will join ongoing basic science and translational research projects related to microbial biofilms and microbiome of chronic wounds. Bench experience is preferred. The research volunteer will have an opportunity to learn molecular microbiology techniques and to attend the weekly wound healing clinic. He/she will also have opportunity to author manuscripts and present the research data at a national conference. In addition, the research volunteer is encouraged to attend weekly dermatology Grand Rounds and resident’s lectures.
