**I will be a D2 at the UofM this year, so if you have any questions about the program feel free to reach out via PM or tag me in your post and I'll get back to you!

A new prompt was added this past cycle (3000 character limit):
CONNECTION TO MN: What connection(s) do you have to the state of Minnesota and/or the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry?

Should I apply here if I have a GPA of 3.4 and 18 AA DAT. I am retaking it in a couple months. My service and shadowing is all really good, I just struggled a little in undergad and studying for the DAT. What do yall think? I am a tx resident

Those stats are fairly low for UMN as an OOS resident. We don’t usually take too many southern students either. Most of our students are from the Midwest. If you’re Urm/Orm or meet their mission statement well it could help you out though. If you like the school it’s worth applying to, just know a good retake will make you more competitive!

They will usually send interviews at least into october/November and then pause slightly for acceptance day, and then they do virtual interviews for post-december in January. I don't know if they have february interviews anymore.
