Hi

I get admission from both school and it is very hard for me to decide. UMN is the top 3 pharmacy school and it offers well-established 4 years program. However, UIC provide me 3 years PharmD program since I can waive some courses. Would you please give me some suggestion about choosing the school?? Is there any big difference between them? Ex. tuition fees, weather, living cost, environment, faculty......
Thank you very much.

I don't know anything about Chicago, but I am an undergrad at the UMN and have been accepted there for pharmacy school, so I can answer any questions you have about that area!

Is there any big difference between twin city and Duluth campus in pharmacy school?? Because most of my friends are admitted on twin city campus, I have no idea about Duluth campus.

3 year pharmD program, means you get out earlier. UIC is a pretty reputable program itself. Living cost will probably be more in chicago, but come on..chicago. One of America's finest cities. You'll love it there. Plus chicago has an airport. No chipotle at Duluth. That's enough reason for me. Seems like you're asian. No much good asian food in Minnesota. I've been disappointed with the asian food in Twin cities, I can't imagine it be any better in Duluth. Duluth has no asian markets that I know of.

Chicago has the bulls, cubs, white socks, bears etc....Chicago got way better weather than Duluth.

Well, it depends if you would like to live in a big city or a smaller area. Duluth is generally colder and has more snow.

Hi guys,
I am in a similar situation. I got into the Twin Cities Campus of University of Minnesota and the Chicago Campus of UIC. I am not sure which school to choose. Minnesota is ranked number three in the country and based on their curriculum they seem to prepare their pharmacists very well. I am also interested in the joint PharmD/MPH which is only offered at UMN but that's not a deal breaker. Tuition is about $13000 cheaper/year at UIC as I am in state but I really got a good feeling about Minnesota. UIC is highly ranked as well and they're number 4 in research funding. Both are good programs but not sure which one would give me the best opportunities after graduation. I will probably be moving down south to Florida after school so the school that would give me the best chance opportunities after graduation would be the one I want to choose. Any pros or cons that you guys could provide would help tremendously.
