University of New England Interview

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They're definitely one of my top ones! How about you? I'm bummed that we haven't heard...
Yes they are my top school.
I’m a little afraid when it comes to housing though. It seems like it’s not easy to find something affordable in the area and although I love their clinical rotations I am also afraid of having to move somewhere else every so often, but I’m sure I’ll make it work.

Yeah I am afraid of that too and the program is extremely expensive, how come they are your first choice?

I first of all wanted to move out of Florida to a New England State. When researching schools I really liked UNE. I also appreciate the fact that graduate students have their own campus, their graduation and employment rates were also a big catch.
I’m confident I will get off that wait list. I’ve heard a lot of people end up being chosen from that list because of the high tuition rates.

Hopefully we won’t be there for too long.
I got waitlisted, too. I heard they initially accept like 4 or 5 people per session and then fill the rest of their class after the other sessions finish! Also, I'm there with you with wanting to move from Florida haha.

Yeah I heard the same. But their waitlist has a lot of movement too, so I’ll be hopeful.
Where from Florida?

That is insane, all the interviews I have been to have 15-30 people.
I thought so too. I’m not sure how many interview sessions they have, but I thought it was way too many candidates.

I am interviewing on Friday (1/12). Hoping that it goes well! its nice to hear that this is a more laid back interview because I do get quite nervous. I applied in late August and it took forever to hear from them. I did email them a couple times with updates to my application and it looks like their admissions people were out of office for a significant amount of time. So that may explain why you all were stuck waiting for so long.

Anyway, good luck everyone! UNE is one of my top choices so hopefully things go well!

They don’t disclose that. All I know is they are still conducting interviews. I know someone who has an interview scheduled early March although they said they will be cunducting interviews until the end of January. They invite 60 people to interview each session and I know many get placed on their waitlist right after.
You might still have a chance to get called.

I had my interview back on November 2nd, and was waitlisted until about a week ago when I got an acceptance letter.
Congrats this is awesome! Did they send you an email or a letter in the mail??

Thank you for sharing that with me. Great stats by the way. Good luck wherever you decide to go.

Just received an email that I was accepted off the waitlist for UNE.
I will be declining my spot though, so this will open another spot for someone else.
Good luck!

When did you interview?? And if you don't mind me asking, where did you end up accepting??

I was just accepted off the waitlist today! I'll be declining though, so that'll open a spot up for someone!

It seems like a lot of people who get pulled from the waitlist end up declining.
Where are you going?

I got into a few schools closer to my home state so I'm saving money by not moving across the country. I am deciding between RMUoHP or ISU
