Wait-listed. bummed out. Now I play the waiting game...

Is there typically a lot of movement on the list? I know they don't tell you where you rank. I remember students saying almost half of their class was accepted off the wait-list.


Luckily, I've been accepted elsewhere, but I really liked UNE, and could see myself being happy there.

Same with me. Loved UNE and was very much looking to going. However, I was, to me at least, surprisingly accepted to my top choice the other day, which happens to be an in-state public Uni.

Dolla dolls bills, y'all.

Once I officially get my physical acceptance packet and put down a deposit, I will be giving up my seat at UNE, so there's another seat for you! Good luck!

Can anyone give some advice about the interview. What type of questions should I be prepared for? Do the interviewers have an open folder on the candidates, or do they know nothing about you upon introduction?

melanie and bn- i wouldn't loose hope. Id suspect their waitlist to move quite a bit as students secure cheaper in state options throughout the cycle.

Thanks Don I hope so. UNE is my top choice and I haven't heard anything from the other schools I applied to yet. Fingers crossed!

I believe people get pulled from the waitlist at the end of the next interview cycle, which is on January 16th.

I emailed Sarah asking the same question. She said that nothing will happen until March. In March, once all interviews are done, they will ask all waitlist applicants if they want to remain on the list. Once the list is in place, we can hear from them anytime up until the beginning of classes in the fall.

I called her as well and got the same response. Weird, considering our letters say we will be reviewed at the end of each subsequent interview session. But oh well :/

I would give it a few more days. It was 11 days before I heard back.
