Yea, UNH is prbly on of those "some" schools that only gets 5 apps for a class of 65 and really don't care if one takes the GRE or has any pre-reqs w/ A's and can take those vol hours once you get to Durham. Don't worry ... be happy!😎😀🙂

And you've touched on a very significant factor when considering admissions, applying stuff. Does the program have that undergrad entry!? If so, the spaces are likely to be increasingly fewer for MS/OTD students. Many of those undergrad programs provide "guaranteed" admission for undergrads achieving specific requirements and levels of performance.

I know this post is from a while ago, but I was just wondering - are you sure that the direct entry to the M.S. program at UNH is for people with a bach. in a different field? I was under the impression that it was a post-professional program for applicants who have completed a B.S. in occupational therapy. Did you ever find out more about stats of accepted applicants? I would think admission would be relatively competitive since its the only OT program in NH. I think.

lizzo, in light of your careful, mature thinking and analytical and communicating skills, it's hard to conceive of superior candidates in OT outter-space. Do your darnedest to get personal and genuine exposure to the appointers and I'm betting on you. May the good Lord be gracious to you, as always.

Oh ye of little faith. And here I was giving you all this credit for creative insight, careful analysis and apologetic for OT wannabes. I'll save sarcasm for where it is valuable and with whom it may be useful. Not now with you. Yours might be a kinder, gentler style in addressing, guiding, suffering fools, and that might be a better way with thin-skinned little girls who too often value being nice than being careful, constructively critical, and correct. Here's that age, experience, and grad school might lend some help here. 😉

I'm interested to know if anyone applied to UNH this time around. If so what are your stats like? Has anyone heard back from this school? Thanks 🙂

Hello, just responding back to the UNH post, I applied for the 2 year masters program. I haven't heard back from the program yet...the deadline was march 1st. My stats were 3.4 GPA in prereqs from univ of connecticut, about 30 shadowing hours total. CNA clinical at a nursing home-60 hrs, and currently working with an individual with disabilities. After reading some of these posts I haven't seen many comments about schools in the northeast. I've applied to sacred heart, baypath, springfield college, and UNH.

I am in the same boat as far as one LOR not getting in until a few days before the deadline. The e-mail definitely made it sound as though the applications had not even been seen by the admission committee yet. Completing the application process so late definitely makes me nervous but that combined with the fact that I still have one more prereq to complete over the summer takes away even more hope 🙁
