Wow, they were insanely bad. Avoid at all costs. Not only was she monotone on the phone, but she hardly had any clue about the program. "You have to speak with a pre-health adviser about some parts of your questions. I can answer a few parts of your question for the Postbac. But I don't know anything about med school. What else do you want? (non-verbally implied judging by her ways of expression).
They were atrocious. And extremely unhelpful. I almost felt embarrassed speaking to them myself. And they had the audacity to "make" a phone appointment over the phone for a set date, all of which was unpromising. Hell, Harvard just answers your questions when you call and doesn't say "we have to make an appointment for you first. We are trying to be like the University of Oregon, and make a big deal out of this. But don't be surprised if after making your appointment, you call us and our Postbac adviser doesn't know what the hell you are talking about." Thank heavens that has been cleared up for me.
Btw: any response that had a "yes" to it was substituted with several "mmhm"'s that reverberated throughout our conversation. Very unacceptable, and a bad first impression of the program.
