I just found out that my employer was an Officer in the Army, and I noticed he became a commissioned officer after U of Phoenix. So I figure it doesn't look too bad to the army.

Is U of Phoenix good enough to get into USU? I am shipping out in another month, so it would kind of even out the bad image of U of Phoenix I imagined.

I want to get this premed degree done as soon as possible.

Probably not. Your basic science pre-reqs all come with significant lab portions and are just better taught via in-residence classwork, vice on-line courses. You might be able to get a Univ of Phoenix degree and augment it with "real" pre-med courses at a local junior college . . but even that might be a stretch. In any case, call the admissions office at the school to get a more definitive answer before your pay for and start classes.

This was from 2001-2010, when they had officer shortages. I am not sure such inadequate schooling will cut it anymore. Where does he work now? A manager at Burger King? Going to a good school and choosing a major is VERY important post-military? There are also many who went to top schools, such as myself 😉
