Hey guys,

I am looking into schools to apply for next year. Is Pitt a reputable program? Does anyone know if they offer a good program/facilities? For anyone that goes to this school, do you mind shedding some light on your experience?

Thanks!

I interviewed there back in October and I'll say it's the best and most complete school I've interviewed at. (When all they have to offer is taken into account)

It honestly is a great program. They have a great balance between clinic, research, and community service. I think the city its located in is also nice 🙂

It's a well-reputed program with a strong emphasis on serving special needs patients. Personally, I interviewed there and I was not impressed by the facilities at all. The student body, while "nice," seemed a bit bland as well. But in the end it's all up to how you feel about your experience while you're there.

Why weren't you impressed with the facilities? Did it seem old? or was there just not many facilities?

I'm not saying that Pittsburgh had poor facilities. It's just that nothing about it particularly stood out to me in any way.

All those interviews and not a single acceptance?

It just looks less modern/renovated than other school's I've seen. They do have amazing new technology though and the new building is pretty sweet. But I see your point

As mentioned above, I thought the school was well rounded with the balance between clinical work, research, and focus on community outreach. Pittsburgh seems decent enough, although some of the students I spoke with said it was definitely not their favorite place to be (not much to do, weather, etc.) It would definitely be great to go there!
