Has anyone else noticed this? I've been narrowing down my list of schools to apply to when I noticed UofT isn't on any ranking list I've come across....why is this? Does anyone know? Is there an accredited issue, did they really tick someone off? Did they just opt out of the ranking system? I find it peculiar that it would be a fluke on multiple rankings lists....Its on my short list (of 12!! ) but if there is some real issue there it may dictate whether or not it stays on that list.....

because their large animal services needed updating, they were on limited accreditation and as such are not ranked that year.

We are slated to finish our large animal renovation/expansion at the beginning of summer. Then we will submit to regain full accreditation. Anyone who toured UTK this year can tell you how amazing our new facilities are, especially compared to what they were. We should have no problem getting full accreditation back, most likely by the end of 2013.

👍

Don't let not being on a ranking list make you not consider UT! The new facilities are great!

Before I went to my UT interview, I was comparing UT and Auburn (my other acceptance) in my mind and used ranking to heavily affect my decision...it's like a professor of mine once told me, ranked highly or not, they all have to meet the same accreditation status. UT needed a face lift and it's definitely gotten it. My advice for applying..narrow your list by your interests. Pick the schools you want to apply to by which ones you would enjoy being at. Which city you would want to live in, what specialties the schools are known for and etc. I also looked at the data tables provided by VMCAS..I didn't apply to an OOS school that was too far away for my likings if they only accepted a few OOS students each year..I judged the schools I should apply to by my chances of getting in. I also compared tuition costs to my chances of being accepted...I only applied to four schools and received 1 rejection, 1 waitlist and 2 acceptances. not too shabby 😉 Good luck! btw HowIMetYourPet..I love that name! haha
