I was just wondering for those who are planning to or are attending University of the Pacific school of dentistry, are you required to have your B.S before enrolling in the school? i cant find it on their website.

It only specifically says 90 total units on their websit,e right? Besides, if they didn't accept anyone w/o a bachelor's, then their 2+3 predent program would be impossible unless students had like 50 college units going out of high school and took full loads along with summer school during those first two years. Obviously, a bachelor's would help your app, but it's not "necessary" to my knowledge.

I applied to 15 private schools so I only have information on the private schools.. but as far as I know, BS is PREFERRED but NOT a requirement for all of them. I think only Harvard requires a BS finished BEFORE you apply to the school. So minimum of 4 years of undergrad prior to applying. (all other schools are 3 years as far as I know).

Although they say it isn't required, not having one will put you at a pretty big disadvantage. It's like the GPA game. . . there are a some schools that say the minimum GPA they consider is 2.75. . . but it doesn't necessarily mean you are getting an interview with a GPA that low.

Unless your DAT scores are really high. . .
