Is anybody else stressing about the 6 required LORs required by the University of Utah? (This is a new requirement for class of 2003 applicants.)
3 letters must be from faculty who've taught you. The other three must be supervisor letters from research, community service, and medical experiences (patient exposure or M.D. shadowed).
It's not that I haven't done these things, because I have, but I never thought to get LORs when I did them, and I feel like it might be too late to ask for a recommendation letter. After all, even if they remember me it might not be sufficient for a positive letter. In that case I'm stuck with trying to do new experiences and acquire letters before the letters are due this winter. Personally, I think the University of Utah will be excluding too many applicants by requiring these extra LORs. Opinions?
