Hey Everyone,

I am planning on doing an OMFS externship at the University of Washington. Does anyone have tips/advice as well as tips for lodging?

My advice is to find somewhere else to do an externship UNLESS it is somewhere you are highly considering going to. Don't get me wrong, they have an awesome program, but they won't you touch anything, even assist for that matter. I would be sure to do some hands-on externships as well. Program is one of the better 4-years and it would obviousely be a good experience to see if it is somewhere you'd like to end up. Nothing is really expected out of you so just enjoy it, learn what you can, and kiss as much butt as possible if it is somewhere you are interested in without coming off as a d-bag.
