I just received an interview invite earlier this week. Does anyone know about how many in state applicants they interview? Or what percentage of interviewees get accepted?
It varies from year to year; they give preference to state or WWAMI states. They would prefer state students but they do accept out of state students. I think the ratio is like 3:1 but I could be wrong. Correct me if I am wrong. 😕
They give alot in-state interviews and very, very few out-of-state interviews. If you have at least 27/3.5 you are automatically given an interview for in-staters. Typically, every year one-third of interviewees are are either accepted or put on one of the waitlists.
I interviewed yesterday and the committee was so nice! It was more of a conversation than an interview. Anyway, I think they interivew approx. 600 in-state applicants and for WA residents, they accept 100...the other 80 of the class come from WWAMI states. So if you interview, you have somewhere between a 1:5 to 1:6 chance of getting in.
