I'm just lazy to get out of the freakin' house!! It's way tooooo hot here, and I simply don't wanna get far away from the AC. But I'll definitely give your statement a second thought and see if it's gonna make any sense to me! haha

Well, if your fax is sent out properly, then you should get a confirmation printout right after you're done. I don't think they'll send any confirmation emails.

If you have a capable printer/faxer/scanner/copier (one of those all in one machines), you can actually send an email and they will recieve it as a fax through the fax machine on the recieving end. a prompt will appear asking for the fax number where you want to send your email.

Im scheduled for OCt 15th too just called in right now. I'm from LA also and probably going to bring some friends and maybe make it a vegas weekend lol. Maybe leave the day before ... get some rest ... interview next day (OCT 15th = thursday) ... then either stay till friday or saturday maybe. Hard part is finding a good hotel. Let me know though if anyone would like to hang out.

Im not too sure. I was there like literally 3 weeks ago and it wasnt as bad in traffic as it used to be years ago. Driving was necessary though. Cabs can get expensive but they run all over the place, especially the strip. Hopefully I can get some casino time in to maybe win some money to cut all these interview costs.

what???!!! 30$!! when was this? it would be a pretty sweet deal if several of us got together and hung out the day before. rides don't seem to be a problem since i and several others will be driving in to LV.

hotels.com, I just searched for hotels on the strip. There are cheaper places there actually (I saw a hotel for 9$ per night haha)

i live in las vegas, so perhaps i could offer some suggestions:

it depends on what you want to do. do you plan on just going to the interview? then stay at the Palace Station, it's like 1.5 miles away, and it should be inexpensive. stratosphere is the next closest, and it's actually on the strip

do you want to see vegas, do "the vegas thing"? then maybe one of the strip hotels (Venetian, Wynn, Ti, etc. it boils down to price at that point).

If you're gonna be there on Oct 8th, let me know and I can give you a ride to the school and back to your hotel (PM me!). I'm gonna leave LA on the 7th (hopefully sometime in the morning), so I should be there around 2-3PM.

the strip isn't cheap. you pay a premium for the location.

you best bet for a deal (and proximity to the school) is the stratosphere.

rent a car too, you'll want the autonomy 🙂

I have another interview on Oct 5th, thinking of scheduling my interview on Oct 8th but the timing for two schools are too close. I'm afraid if I can have a good preparation for it since I am working fulltime and taking a night class. I was thinking of scheduling on Oct 22nd since it will give me more time to read about the school and prepare for the interview but I think the sooner you interview the better chance you have. Which would be better? I need some advices. Thanks

I think you should be fine. Shouldnt it not take more than like a day to review the website and interview feedback section and jot some notes down? You should be ok I think.

I used the form on the email and fax them. Then I give them a call and they said I confirmed.

Umm I have to disagree.
You can find VERY CHEAP hotels on the strip depending on what time of the year you go to Vegas. And these are good hotels like Planet Hollywood, Luxor, etc that offer you relatively cheap prices for the room so that they can empty your pockets in their casinos. I'm surprised you live in Vegas and you don't know this.

I am! I got an in-state invite on 9/1 and could have picked any date, but the 29th worked best for me. As long as your pre-Dec, I think everyone has an equal chance of acceptance, regardless of interview date.
