Hi everyone! I was accepted into both UNLV and Temple. I've been having a difficult time deciding between the two schools. I am a California resident so both schools are out of state for me. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

how much do you like edm?? lol

but for real though, i think UNLV is cheaper once you get in state. also cost of living is cheaper. if youre home sick, you can easily go home (even easier if you are in so cal). I am a firm believer of picking a place you want to live. dental school is gonna be fun, but theres gonna be those bad bad bad weeks where you just need a break on weekends.

Not a big fan lol....
But yeah makes since. Lower cost of living in Vegas definitely sounds appealing. Thank you!

Did you end up choosing which school you want to go to?

Philly Born here - You are really debating whether you want to be in the sun close to family vs. the snow close to no one....think about this again - plus you can get in-state at UNLV after one year - I chose not to go to UNLV and I'm still biting my tongue for it.

Ended up deciding on UNLV. It's closer to home and I feel it would be easier for me to adjust to since it is in the west coast as opposed to Philly where I would not only have adjust to a different climate but also culture. I guess my dilemma had to do with the fact that some of the dentists I had spoken to told me that I would receive a better clinical background by attending Temple. While others obviously told me to go to UNLV due to lower cost. But I wanted get more opinions on whether receiving a better clinical education was worth moving all the way across the country.

No its not worth moving cross-country....The best clinical programs only produce good beginners....Also, there is a chance you will end up doing a residency whether it be GPR/Specialty - this brings most up to par! Congrats on your decision, save the money and stay close to home win/win.
